Sweetie, no medical procedure is pretty, but having a baby will change your life bigtime, and there isn't any going back after that. Your boyfriend will still want the abortion because, guess what - if you have the baby, he has to pay child support for the next 18 years! This is a time to think carefully about your future and nobody can judge you for the choice that you make. Edit: Word, I didn't say that she should have an abortion. I said it was a time to think carefully about her future. Adoption isn't always a practical option. What if you had to show up to work every day for 9 months, hugely pregnant, and explain that it was an accident but you were going to give it up for adoption? And it still changes your life, because now you've got a kid out there somewhere. I am an 18-year-old female college student and if I became pregnant, yes, I would have an abortion. My choice. Like someone above me said, the fetus is not conscious and does not feel pain early in the first term. There's an excellent article about the ethics of abortion that I'd have to dig up the link to, but the point is that I don't believe it's inhumane to abort a cluster of cells that do not have their own autonomous body, so why on earth would I think it preferable to go through with the *entire* pregnancy?

Unfortunatley, if your goal is to make your "boyfriend to see how bad they are and that we cant do that to our child" you will be sadly disappointed. An early abortion really doesn't look like anything -- the embryo is about the size of the tip of your finger, and the process looks little different than a heavy period. There is certainly no visible/recognizible 'baby' coming out. Or ... perhaps ... you just want people to post lots of links to pro-life websites showing VERY rare late term abortions so you can stir up trouble here?

Personally I don't think there's any problem with first trimester abortions, the baby doesn't have conscious thought and it feels no pain Ethical dilemmas only really come from second trimester and later abortions, in which the baby is more formed and has thought and can feel pain In first trimester abortions the little blob of matter called a fetus would just get broken up and sucked out, as for second trimester abortions you don't want to know... So yeah, that's my two cents I guess..

Here's a site http://www.lifesitenews.com/abortiontype... edit: Lir, ever heard of adoption? Why is that never suggested? Seems like it's either take care of it or kill it... edit: Your choice is to have sex... the consequences is just a result of the choices you make. Why should the life you created be killed for your mistake? It's not your body, it's the child's body.. I'm for abortions in cases of rape or medical problems, but for convenience... that's just sick.. People just don't value life. Sure they value their own, but no one else's, not even the one they created. And for the record, I'm also against the death penalty. I think the child should go to someone who can't have children.. This is one reason we should allow gay people to marry.. So many straight people don't appreciate what they create.

There is the pill, which you take and it terminates the abortion. And then there is the typical abortion where the baby is basically surgically removed. What about adoption?

Medical abortions: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/medical... Surgical abortions: http://www.americanpregnancy.org/unplann... If you're against abortion, don't get one. You don't have to convince your boyfriend to agree with you.

How should we set the time limit on abortions?
Convex you put this so well. The decision should be with the women. Her womb her rules. I'm tired of hearing anti-abortion groups trying to cut down the time period and pro life groups trying to ban it outright. I cant make a decision on say assisted suicide because I'm not locked into my body...

After my pill abortion I stretched a lot because I spent a couple days in bed and then a week and a half just putting around the house I was getting very tense because I could not exercise. Stretching, yoga and some very light pilates helped me out. Heal well and remember go back to your aftercare...

Are there any abortion clinics in mchenry county?
For me, if I was going to get an abortion, I would go to a planned parenthood clinic, just since I trust them better then anything else. unfortunately the nearest clinic to Mchenry county is 1 hour and 21 minutes away. I don-t know if you have transportation or not. Here is the site for the...

Was Mother Teresa a feminist without realizing it?
Graymalkin is right - Mother Teresa was an exceptionally dogmatic Catholic. She had no interest in raising the standards for women - quite the reverse. She was only a "feminist" in the sense that she wanted everyone to be equally poor. After all, "Vita Apostolica" is a central tenant of true...

Abortion arguement?
A fetus is not a child. Actually, a fetus (or embryo) fits the definition of a parasite (lives off a human host while not providing any medical benefit for the host). Abortion should not be used as birth control. That's an abuse of the treatment. If a girl is raped, in danger, mentally unstable...
