What state are you in, many states the cut off point for abortions is 20 weeks. In a few states, the cut off point is 24 weeks. Have all four doctors told her the reason why she can't get an abortion is ovarian cysts? It doesn't seem like it should be a reason to deny someone an abortion, but I'm no doctor.

That might be the reason they are saying it, but it might not be the real reason. Even if abortions are allowed were she lives that late, that does not mean a doctor has to perform it. A doctor has the right to refuse any non emergency services that he or she chooses. The baby is almost viable. I am sure she can feel movement by this point, and more she is likely showing. Even with those that are pro-choice an abortion at 20 weeks is seen as immoral to many people. I know that I would never go to a doctor that would do an abortions so late. I would question their integrity.

Whoa.. I think every woman has the right to decide what to do with her own body but 20 weeks..c'mon! She has had plenty of time to go down the abortion path... In 4 more weeks this little bubba could survive outside the womb with special care.. But in answer to your question.. A cyst shouldn't make an abortion impossible but I do think a lot of drs would say NO based on moral reasons. I hope your friend changes her mind!

No, but the fact that she's 20 weeks pregnant might. Doctors don't like to abort babies at 20 weeks. They look too much like the babies doctors try to save.

dear Kevin say to her:at least and temporary custody to a family or relatives?(when everything is well you can keep him\her without abortion)or at least give the baby up for OPEN or close adoption(even in an other country if you want to)....cause adoption or custody so life is better than abortion... then there's also open adoption so you can follow your baby growing up :) love and life are sacrifices but they're better than abortion! so please the most important thing is:not abort, then I suggest keeping him\her and you see his\her “THANKS”in his\her smile because you didn’t abort him\her despite your difficulties! then adoption or custody is better than abortion that doesn't let the baby live and hurts you too.

Abortion is killing a precious little baby. No woman ever held her precious newborn and regretted not killing it. Read some stories of women who have done this and regretted it for life. http://www.abort73.com/testimony/1442/ http://abortionrisks.info

Why do people support abortion?
